Written and compiled at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, this pocket-size book comprises an alternative graphic design lexicon of offhand witticisms, twists on technical jargon, and humorously accurate (mis)appropriations. Taking references from insider lingo, pop culture, and formal parlance, an amusing, informative, and surprisingly sharp take on how we “talk about” graphic design is created. The book is the outcome of an assignment by Phil Baber, a book designer, editor, and writer who teaches graphic design at the school. Published by Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam).
