PostMetaNeoMythology is a project of L. Matyunina, a Netherlands-based visual artist. The web design compresses her audiovisual material, composed of found footage and video interviews. TikTok fairytales, neo-folk and online mythologies create a parallel timeline and get reshuffled on the website. Since fairytales are often associated with forests, the first images returned from a Google search for the keyword “forest” were used as links leading into the video chapters. Navigation through the site takes place along the Z-axis, moving the viewer deeper into a digital forest structured as an infinite scroll of links.
