Lost & Found Rituals was one edition of an event series that uses the artist's process as a curatorial model. Contemporary artistic practices merge found and stray content into events in the centre of Amsterdam, at Waag.
Rituals edition was part of the 2019 programme, which aimed at looking for realities by using the Dionysian as a counterforce to the computative & calculable. I was commissioned a design for an invitation and a leader. Aside from the content, the brief included that the invitation must fit in an A6 envelope. The decision to design a poster instead of something more dimensions-appropriate for a small envelope, fittingly conveyed the personality of Dionysos, the Greek god of irrationality. The empty frontside and the abstract backside that folded out from the envelope, presented the whereabouts and details of the event. Coupled with a see-through 90gsm paper, they referenced the name of the event series - Lost & Found
